T. G. Baker (Sound) Ltd is a private limited company founded by Tom Baker in 1973 and has expanded from a one-man business into a major sound and communications company, currently employing in excess of 50 staff in across two offices in Glasgow & Blackburn.

The company, originally based in Glasgow city centre experienced sustained growth, which resulted in a move to larger premises in nearby Clydebank that now provides home to the company HQ. Continued growth resulted in the opening of a regional office in Manchester in 1992 to service and maintain the ever-increasing client base throughout England and Wales. This office continued to prosper and in 2006 it was evident that larger premises and additional staff were required.

The company’s expansion within England and Wales was facilitated by the acquisition of Romers in mid 2006. This provided the company with additional key staff, larger premises, greater stock levels and a diverse client base, giving T. G. Baker (Sound) Ltd the opportunity to move into new market sectors such as CCTV, TV Distribution and Access Control. A significant investment has been placed into these new market sectors and under the management of T. G. Baker (Sound) Ltd these areas have continued to thrive.

T. G. Baker (Sound) Ltd maintains a high profile within the Sound and Communications industry providing bespoke systems for all types of venues including:

The company provides a full turnkey service from the initial concept, through detailed design, manufacture, supply and installation, commissioning, staff training plus ongoing maintenance & service. Senior Managers are all active members within the Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers (ISCE), ensuring compliance with the latest standards whilst keeping abreast of the latest technologies. As an independent company we have access to high-quality equipment from the world’s leading manufacturers and will regularly custom-build or modify equipment to meet the specific demands of the client.
