Theatres and art galleries tend to have systems of less complex design, typically requiring zone Public Address and audio frequency Induction Loop systems.

Occasionally T. G. Baker (Sound) Ltd is commissioned to install systems for rather unusual projects. For example Legoland, Windsor where much of the site is spread over a large area outdoors, and Deep Sea World, North Queensferry where a Public Address system with added special sound effects for specific areas of the centre was installed.

Background music in bars and restaurants is an important feature which greatly enhances the enjoyment of a meal and creates the correct ambience in bar and lounge areas.

The needs of modern hotels are far more extensive. In particular, aerial systems which provide each room with their own radio and television, as well as the internal and external communications facilities that are always necessary.

CASE STUDY: 1

Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, Glasgow

Glasgow Museums are fitted with sophisticated CCTV Systems with off-site monitoring facilities. Each museum has been fitted with external sound equipment provided by T. G. Baker (Sound) Ltd to assist security staff with their duties.

The horn loudspeakers that are fitted to the external walls of the recently re-furbished Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery complex have been customised to match the red sandstone facade.
