The Mall, Blackburn
As an existing client The Mall looked to T. G. Baker (Sound) Ltd to advise, design and implement the installation of an upgrade to their CCTV system recording equipment and ageing matrix control system. After discussions with The Mall and taking into account the requirements that are specific to The Mall, we opted for a recording system which enabled the recording of images at 25 frames per second at the highest resolution of D1 (4CIF) for 31 days and full control of each of its 52 cameras. It was critical that we could provide real time recording in areas with high levels of movement to provide high quality images for The Mall's security staff, enabeling them to deal with all incidents effectively.
The system uses networked digital video recorders and VMS Titan software to provide applications such as ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), entry barrier control, intercoms and vehicle height alarms. The system can also manage fire alarm systems, foot fall and other analytical systems.
