Doncaster Rovers FC required a modern Public Address and Voice Alarm (PAVA) system capable of supporting both the matchday experience and the stadium's critical life safety requirements. Following a recommendation from a leading manufacturer, TG Baker was appointed to design and deliver a solution that would provide reliable performance, straightforward operation and full compliance with current industry standards.

Every stadium presents its own operational challenges, from managing large crowds to ensuring clear communication during both routine events and emergency situations. Following a detailed site survey, we assessed the limitations of the existing system and worked with the club to develop a solution that would improve audio quality, simplify control and provide dependable emergency communications across every area of the stadium.

Plan

The new PAVA system was carefully designed to deliver reliable, stadium-wide coverage while making the best use of the existing infrastructure. Our design incorporated resilient network architecture, battery-backed amplification and zoned audio control, ensuring the system could continue operating when it mattered most. Every element was selected to provide long-term reliability, ease of operation and full compliance with recognised safety standards.

Deliver

TG Baker managed the complete installation, integration and commissioning of the new system. Alongside the replacement of the stadium's control equipment and loudspeaker network, we introduced a fully redundant fibre optic backbone linking the two equipment racks, providing additional resilience and operational continuity. New paging stations and emergency communication points were installed to give stadium staff intuitive control over announcements, safety messaging and match day operations.

Support

Once installation was complete, we carried out comprehensive testing, programming and commissioning to ensure every part of the system performed as intended. The project concluded with full documentation, operator handover and an ongoing planned maintenance programme, providing Doncaster Rovers FC with continued confidence that their life safety systems will remain reliable, compliant and ready whenever they are needed.
